Secure your business with FREE membership at The Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands

The Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands (WMCRC) offers a range of membership options depending on what level of support businesses across the region need. The Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands was set up to support and help secure businesses across the region against cybercrime.

Cyber crime is a growing problem. Last year, it was reported up to 88% of UK companies suffered data breaches over the previous 12 months. Indeed, one small business in the UK is successfully hacked every 19 seconds, according to one study.

Cyber-attacks are potentially ruinous events for business owners. The average cost of a cyber security breach in the United Kingdom is £1,010 across all businesses, however, this figure becomes greater as the size of a business increases. The cost of a cyber-attack is not only financial, with the average time large businesses spend on managing the impact amounting to 3.4 days, according to statista.com.

The first step to cyber resilience is knowledge. We offer a variety of membership packages that provide you with access to regular guidance, tools and resources that can help you to keep your business out of the hands of cyber criminals. Alongside providing access to regular guidance, tools, and resources, we also offer businesses a free 1:1 consultation with the WMCRC’s Head of Cyber and Innovation so that you can understand your current cyber security risks.

The first level of Core Membership is free and provides businesses with access to a range of resources and tools to help them identify their cyber security risks and vulnerabilities, as well as offering guidance on the steps that you can take to increase your levels of protection.
