Cyber Essentials helps you to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate your commitment to cyber security which can often become a requirement when tendering for work in both public and private sectors..


Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, Government backed scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.

Tony is the Service Delivery Manager at Solutions4iT, and has held the position for just over a year. Previously to this, Tony was the company’s Senior Technical and Cyber Security Engineer. Tony has over 20 years’ experience as an IT engineer and 5 of those have also been within the Cyber Security side of the business. 


Tony has worked at Solutions4iT for over 8 years and in this time has progressed from a Level 2 helpdesk Technician to his current role. As the Service Delivery Manager, Tony’s role is to ensure that all customers get the same level of Customer Service no matter what their size. This is achieved by implementing good processes and procedures and ensuring that all staff follow them, whilst also identifying and rectifying any issues as quickly as possible.


John has been supporting the delivery of safe and reliable computer systems for over forty years.   During that time he has been a programmer, system architect, teacher in higher education, head of management services, product manager for a US west coast computer manufacturer, chief technology officer for a software company, head of the Midlands management consultancy practice of Ernst & Young and director of several companies.


John's skills are centred around the delivery of business advantage using information and communication technologies.  His knowledge cover three principal areas: information systems security (cyber security), enterprise architectures and IT service management, all of which are required to deliver secure ICT systems.


Abdul is the CEO and founder of AMSA InfoSec Ltd, a cyber security services provider to government and private sector clients specialising in providing:

  • Security Architecture,

  • Risk Management, 

  • Certification services e.g. Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance compliance.


With over 23 years combined IT and security experience, coupled with industry qualifications, Abdul is well placed to provide expert advice on how to secure businesses.  AMSA InfoSec is pleased to be a Trusted Partner working alongside The Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands.


Usman Khan is a Principal Security Consultant and the Director at IAP Consulting.


Usman has more than 15 years of experience in security architecture, risk management and security operations. He currently holds CISSP, CISM, SABSA, ISO 27001 LA, CCP SIRA and CCP IA Architect professional certifications alongside numerous technology vendor certifications. ​


Phil Lynch is a Managing Principal Security Consultant within the UK penetration testing team at Nettitude. Phil has over 20 years’ experience within the information technology sector with experience in most roles, specialising in information security for the past 10 years. During this time Phil has worked with a large and diverse client base from both the public and private sectors, including UK Government, Defence and numerous private organisations globally. 


Phil specialises in Red Teaming and fills the role of Simulated Attack Manager (SAM) but has a vast range of experience and knowledge in many areas. Phil delivers first class consultancy backed by in-depth technical skills which he can deliver to a wide range of audiences from both the technical and business management arenas.

Phil Joined the Royal Air Force in 1989 as an 18-year-old and trained as a communications and radar engineer. His service spanned 24 years during which he served in multiple locations globally including tours in Germany and Nevada, USA. His service also included several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan where he was awarded campaign medals.


Gary has over 15 years experience within IT audit and assurance provision and currently manages the WMAS
Information Security & Assurance Service (ISAS) which delivers services to multiple public and private sector
clients. Whilst the WMAS ISAS provides a wide range of IT governance and consultancy services, Gary specifically
undertakes technical IT security assurance work including cyber essentials assessments and penetration tests for national and local NHS organisations (including Health Education England), private sector healthcare providers and
software developers, charitable organisations and local and national government. Gary has presented at
numerous national and local level events on the topics of IT assurance, cyber security and penetration testing.
Key areas of expertise include IT audit & assurance, penetration testing, assessment services for both ISO27001
assessment and consultancy and Cyber Essentials assessment.


Pete has delivered IT and security solutions for over 20 years – both within the Defence and Commercial sectors.  He is an NCSC Certified Cyber Professional (CCP), Chartered IT Professional and Chartered Engineer.  


Since founding Assure Technical in 2011, it’s been his mission to help organisations develop an effective holistic security capability that builds resilience and improves performance.


He understands the importance of appropriate and effective cyber, physical and information security risk management.  He take’s time to understand his clients and adopts a pragmatic and flexible partnership approach to help them protect their business.


Pete has been an IASME Accredited assessor since 2017.  Since then, he has supported hundreds of organisations, from a wide range of industries, achieve Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials PLUS and IASME Governance certifications.
